We are the happy owners of a new GoToAssist Express Beta Website. Next time you visit, you’ll notice there is more info about GoToAssist Express and a lovely new interface. One of my favorite parts is video testimonials down in the bottom right corner of the page. Enjoy!

Our Launch Plans and What It Means to You as a Beta User

May 30, 2008

Many of you have expressed your opinions and given us lots of feedback, not only about the GoToAssist Express product but its future price. While I don’t have details for you today, I’d like to address and hopefully ease your concerns about pricing.

First, we are building this product for the small business community. We’ve heard from you how much value you receive from GoToAssist Express but that you are also cost-sensitive and we will do everything possible to make GoToAssist Express an easy purchase decision for you. We are in the final stages of developing our pricing plan – I assure you we are taking your concerns to heart and will inform you of the price as soon as we have it.

Second, we will give all beta testers plenty of time to evaluate the commercial product, and you will be able to do this for free, so you can make a decision about purchasing without a disruption of service. We want you as our customer and we are committed to making this an easy transition for you.

Finally, along with pricing, we will let you know when the product will available for purchase. Again, there will be time for you to evaluate and decide if this is the right product for you. (Those of you with experience in software development will understand why we still can’t give you a specific release date.)

Once pricing information is available, I will hold a series of Webinars for you all so we can explain how the process will work and address your specific questions. As soon as I have these Webinar dates I will publish them.

I want to thank you all for your feedback and encourage you to continue participating in the forum. We are in the forum often, we read your comments, we’re listening and we appreciate your input.

Congrats to Chris Ashby of DWD Technology Group

April 1, 2008

Many of you participated in the GoToAssist Express Beta User Survey — thank you for taking the time to answer our questions. Chris Ashby of DWD Technology Group in Toledo, Ohio won the iPod Touch.

DWD Technology Group LLC is a technology reselling / support company specializing in Accounting Software / CRM Software and network services. They serve the small to medium sized business market. Chris has used GoToAssist Express to provide support for ACT both in the USA and Europe. (I do love hearing about our customers using the product to remote to other countries ;-

Favorite Features / Functionality:

(1) Simplicity to start a support session

(2) The ease with which you can switch from one support session to another (i.e. when you are working on both a server and workstation)

Here is what Chris had to say about our product: “GoToAssist Express is an exceptionally well engineered product centered around the needs of the support representative. The product is so simple to use, I was able to provide support within minutes of downloading the application.”

Enjoy your iPod Touch Chris!!

Remote Support from Anywhere

March 13, 2008

We just conducted our first product training and had lots of questions and feedback from beta users – thank you all for attending. I wanted to address one question in particular as it is an important one.

GoToAssist Express is web-based. This means you can log in from any internet connected computer. You don’t have to be at your office computer to use it, you can be anywhere – your house, on vacation, at a client office, a wired coffee shop. We even had one tester tell us he helped a client from his wireless card on the side of the highway — that really is anywhere.

This is how you can log in from anywhere:

  1. As I said, you need a computer and an internet connection.
  2. Sign into your account at www.gotoassistexpress.com (or http://express.gotoassist.com)
  3. Click the “download & start” button.
  4. GoToAssist Express will download to the local computer and start a support session.
  5. Then you can tell your customer the support key (they will enter it into www.fastsupport.com) or email it or chat.
  6. Once you are finished, you can leave the icon in the service tray, exit temporarily by right-clicking the icon, or uninstall it through your Control Panel.

Please do contact our tech support if you have questions or are having trouble with this feature. Tech support can be reached toll free at (888) 621-0538 or direct at +1 (805) 690-5744. You can also email them at betafeedback@citrixonline.com or just add a post to the forum.
