What’s New?

Finalized Consolidation of the GoToAssist Corporate apps for Android
  • Customers who use their Android device to connect to a representative’s GoToAssist Corporate support session can download and use the consolidated GoToAssist Corporate app on mobile devices running Android OS 4.0.X (Ice Cream Sandwich or newer) for all Android device manufacturers.  For screen sharing sessions on LG devices, customers will be prompted to download the latest version of the GoToAssist Corporate AddOn LG plugin app when they join a support session from their Android device.  Previously, customers were prompted to download varying versions of the GoToAssist Corporate customer apps (listed below), depending on their mobile device manufacturer and Android OS version.  (GTA-7345)
    • Note:  Full device remote control is supported for Samsung and LG devices, and device screen sharing is supported for all mobile devices running Android OS 5.0.X (Lollipop) or newer.  Screen sharing and/or remote control access must be enabled within the representative’s portal settings in order for these options to be available within a support session.  For more information about supported features for Android devices, please see our Features Overview.
  • Due to the consolidation of all GoToAssist Corporate customer apps, the following apps have been removed from the Google Play Store:
    • GoToAssist Corporate (ICS)
    • GoToAssist Corporate (LG)
  • If a customer attempts to use one of the discontinued GoToAssist Corporate customer apps (listed above), they will be redirected to the Google Play Store to download the consolidated GoToAssist Corporate customer app.   Additionally, customers using LG devices will be prompted to download the latest version of the GoToAssist Corporate AddOn app to allow device screen sharing.

Bug Fixes

  • Fix for preventing the mobile device screen on the customer side from flickering when screen sharing is started or resumed.  (GTA-7792)
  • Fix for allowing customers (i.e., with GoToAssist Corporate (ICS) already installed on their mobile device) to download the GoToAssist Corporate customer application when they attempt to join a session from a session join link.  Previously, when they were redirected to the Google Play Store to download the GoToAssist Corporate customer app, they encountered an error during their installation attempt.  (GTA-7635)
