What’s New?

Support for Android OS 6.0.X (Marshmallow) on Samsung and LG Devices

  • Experts can now use the GoToAssist (Customer) app for Android on their Samsung or LG device running Android OS 6.0.X (Marshmallow).  Additionally, they will also be able to utilize remote control and screen sharing (i.e., LG device users will receive an additional prompt to install the Screen Sharing plugin for LG) on these devices.  Previously, customers would encounter an app crash when attempting to allow screen sharing during a support session.  (GTARS-5835, -5941)

Bug Fixes

  • Fix for improving mouse control on all Samsung devices running Android OS 5.0.X (Lollipop).  (GTARS-4970)
  • Fix for preventing app crashes on Samsung devices after accepting the Terms of Service agreement when screen sharing is initiated.  (GTARS-6173)
  • Fix for preventing app crashes from occurring when the app is relaunched to join a new session if during the previous session they had initially declined then accepted all request prompts prior to session end.  (GTARS-6183)
