GoToAssist (Remote Support) App for iOS (v1.6.695) Release Notes

What’s New?

New GoToAssist Logo

All instances of the former GoToAssist logo​ OldG2ARSLogo have been updated to reflect the new GoToAssist logo NewG2ARSLogoIcon (e.g., the Home screen, shown below).


Support for 64-bit Platforms

Back-end changes have been made to include 64-bit support, which is a requirement of all Apple developers for apps that are submitted to the App Store after February 01, 2015. Previously, only 32-bit support was required. 

Cosmetic Design and Layout Changes

Cosmetic changes to text and alignment have been made to accommodate the resolutions of newer iOS devices (i.e., iPhone 5 or newer) running iOS 8.  These changes were applied to the views of portrait and landscape modes while using the GoToAssist (Remote Support) app for iOS.

Bug Fixes:

  • Fix for Remote Diagnostic report stuck at “Refreshing…” when customer has left the session
  • Fix for Loading icon aligned to left of Login button
  • Fix for “Screen sharing stopped” message & Stop icon are displayed over customer’s screen
  • Fix for Computer Details screen stuck at “Loading…” when tapping Power On
  • Fix for the Mouse Cursor icon remaining highlighted after a call interrupts mid-session
  • Fix for unresponsive View My Account button on ‘Your service has expired’ screen
  • Fix for various layout issues introduced by iOS 8
  • Fix for layout issues on the Login screen when logging in with landscape mode, then logging out in portrait mode
  • Fix for chat count badge displaying in chat view
  • Changes made to color (from light grey to black) of text entered in chat input field
  • Fix for unresponsive Email Report button in Remote Diagnostics report on iPad
  • Fix for allowing unattended support setup when Nickname exceeds 32 characters
  • Fix for toggling keyboard on with 3-finger tap gesture
  • Fix for highlighting chat count badge on iPad
  • Fix for screen brightening issue when using finger/mouse gestures
  • Fix for highlighted chat count badge after Expert ends collaborative session on iPad

Various App Crash Fixes:

  • On session end with multiple technicians present
  • When Technician 1 ends session before customer screen displays to Technician 2
  • When tapping on Tools icon
  • When tapping on Remote Diagnostics icon
  • When generating a Remote Diagnostics report​
