GoToAssist Remote Support (v2.2.0 Web) Release Notes

Released October 25, 2016 (PDT)

  • Support for standard user account restriction
  • Support for unattended access feature restriction
  • Bug fixes and visual improvements

What’s New?

Support for Standard User Account Restriction
  • Agents with standard user accounts (i.e., without admin privileges) will no longer see an option to select Manage People & Devices within their user account drop-down menu in the top navigation.   Additionally, these users will also no longer see the option to Manage Device Groups on the Devices page.  Previously, standard account users that were not assigned admin rights were still able to access these account management options.  (GTAUP-1420)

Support for Unattended Access Feature Restriction

  • Agents whose accounts are configured with restriction to unattended access will no longer be able to download unattended installers, set up unattended access, and/or connect to unattended machines.  Agents with this feature restriction will no longer see a Device Group section in the lower navigation of their Dashboard, and the Download button for the unattended installer will be disabled.  Upon hovering over the inactive Download button, a tooltip message will appear stating, “Your account does not have the correct permissions to access this feature.”  Additionally, agents will  also encounter a message when they access their Devices page, “This feature has been disabled by your administrator.”  Previously, agents with this feature restriction in their account were still able to download, set up, and access unattended machines.  (GTAUP-1400)

Bug Fixes

  • Fix for ensuring an error message is displayed when creating an invalid (i.e., empty) device group name.  (GTAUP-1403)
  • Various design and visual changes were made to improve the overall user experience on the web platform.  (GTAUP-1432)
  • Fix for displaying “All Device Groups” in the left navigation of the Devices page when an account has 500+ device groups.  (GTAUP-1322)
