Are you considering deploying Windows 8, the current release of the Windows operating system, produced by Microsoft? If so, not to worry. All GoToAssist cloud-based services are ready and Windows 8 compatible.
Just be sure you’re using the latest versions of GoToAssist Remote Support, Service Desk, Monitoring and GoToAssist Corporate (version 10 build 896) to ensure Windows 8 compatibility.
Want to make sure you’re running the latest versions?
- If you are using GoToAssist Remote Support, Service Desk and Monitoring, your service is automatically updated. No action is required.
- If you are using GoToAssist Corporate, contact your Account Manager to provide you access to the 10.4 release (Version 10 Build 896).
I also found some interesting Windows 8 reviews from PC World, CNET and TechRadar. I hope you find them useful.

Have you considered creating apps for Windows 8 RT (surface)? Would love to see gotoassist, gotomeeting and gotomypc as soon as possible.
I will forward your request to our engineering team and post an update once I hear back.
Thank you very much, much appreciated.
Hi Jackie,
Do you have ETA for GOTOMYPC on Windows 8 RT tablets?
Thanks
Vasu
I reached out to the GoToMyPC team and yes, this is on their road map. As far as timing, that is still TBD. Stay tuned and I’ll post a timeframe soon.
ITIL is certainly coming to be more vital in today’s IT companies around the globe. I know that, in my experience, it does not constantly go 100 % to plan – but thats the explanation why Itil is only a framework I guess.
