In order to stay current with these ever-changing times, GoToAssist Service Desk will no longer keep features and functionality working in older versions of Internet Explorer.
Maintaining browser compatibility is always a challenge for web development teams. Usage of IE6, 7 and 8 is now so low that it’s not worth investing the time to provide a nice degraded experience. Combined, these browsers make up 3% of the total traffic to the app, but ensuring compatibility can add days if not weeks of additional development and testing time that could be better spent elsewhere.
Moving forward, GoToAssist Service Desk will leverage new technologies to future-proof the product, which means we’ll be able to deliver faster and better value to our users.
Can I still use the old versions of Internet Explorer?
Yes, you can still use old versions. However, Service Desk will now encourage you to upgrade every time you log in.
