Support for Android OS 7 (Nougat)
- Customers that use the GoToAssist Corporate app for Android to connect to support sessions can now join these sessions using mobile devices running Android OS 7.X.X (Nougat). When a representative connects to a customer’s mobile device running this version of Android, they are able to share their screen, allow remote control, chat, and retrieve remote diagnostics. Previously, customers would encounter a message, “Your device is not supported” when attempting to join a support session from a device running this version of Android. (GTA-8719)
Update: LG AddOn App Now Supports Android OS 7 (Nougat)
- As of May 25, 2017 the GoToAssist Corporate AddOn LG app now supports Android OS 7.X.X (Nougat) on all LG devices. When a customer joins a support session from their LG device, they are now able to successfully install the AddOn LG app, which allows view-only screen sharing, retrieval of remote diagnostics, and chat. During the initial release of the GoToAssist Corporate app for Android, when LG users would join a support session on Android OS 7 (Nougat), they would encounter a message, “Your device isn’t compatible with this version” when redirected to the Google Play Store.
